From cell phones, social media, FaceTime, Zoom meetings, tablets, internet, we have it all. We use it every day and love its wonderful benefits, however, it is becoming obvious that we are developing an addiction to Technology and an unhealthy attachment to it. When was the last time you were away from your cell phone more than 15 minutes?

When you unplug from Technology, you put away all of your devices in another room and forget about them for a period of time. This means turning off your smartphone, smartwatch, TV, tablet, and any other device you might have.

Now that all of the electronic devices and "distractions" have been put away you can start enjoying the world around you and improve the quality of life. You now have more time to participate in outdoor activities, socialize with friends & family, join groups, meditate, take a class, read, exercise, or just relax. Have you ever grabbed your phone to quickly check a Facebook post, then get stuck for 30 minutes on Instagram with no intention of ever going on the app in the first place? You are not alone! When you unplug, you're not focusing on your phone notifications or catching up on a show on Netflix, you are instead focusing on how tired you are. Decide in advance how much time you are going to spend watching TV, checking emails, answering texts/calls, posting on social media, and stick to it. This will help you free up your time so you can start doing the things you love.
Join A Retreat
